Final Result

Phase 1

During the first appointment a detailed diagnosis of the challenges is formulated. Multiple detailed photos and videos are taken of, not just the mouth, but a full facial profile is formulated. Impressions are taken and registration of the occlusal profile is registered.

Phase 2

Digital smile design is performed to be registered on the study models. An artistic “mock-up” is formulated onto the models so a prototype of the proposed changes can be created. The “mock-up” is then transferred to the patients mouth with a special acrylic. This procedure is non-invasive and removed directly after any modifications is made. The object being to have a true 3 dimensional view of the proposed treatment plan. The patient will now receive a comprehensive treatment plan and cost estimation of all the possible treatment options The patient can now make an informed decision about the treatment that suits their needs.

Phase 3

Preparation of the teeth is now performed according to the prototype. This preparation phase might include only a single visit, but might also include a period of adjustment to new occlusal schemes or any surgery that’s needed to support the proposed structures. The last step will be to take micro records of the teeth that will be transferred to the ceramist to manufacture the restorations. This might be digital or analog.

Phase 4

The final restorations will now be delivered. This will be followed by final photographs and a maintenance program. The maintenance program will differ depending on the type of treatment that was performed.
